Doug Evans H.D. (Doug) Evans
Chairman

Doug Evans, Chairman of Gulf, has more than 40 years of industry experience, 35 of which have been spent at Gulf. Doug's vast career at Gulf includes positions in project management, business development, company management and corporate leadership. Doug is the Immediate Past President of IPLOCA, as well as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee and a member of the New Technologies Committee. Doug is an active member of the Pipeliners Association of Houston, PLCA and PLCAC, and is on the Executive Committee and a past Chairman of the INGAA Foundation. Doug also serves on the Board of Directors at Crossroads School in Houston, Texas. Doug is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
 
Rick Barnard Rick Barnard
President & CEO
As President & CEO, Rick Barnard decisively leads and manages the efforts of Gulf's Senior Management team using his extensive industry knowledge and experience at successful project completion. With more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry, Rick has successfully held positions as a Field Construction Engineer, Superintendent - Field Construction, Technical Operations Superintendent, Director of Engineering & Design, Project Manager, Vice President - Operations, and as Senior Vice President - Operations. Always focused on quality, Rick strives for operational excellence on all of Gulf's projects, anything less is unacceptable. Rick is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Project Management Institute, PLCA, IPLOCA, INGAA and the Pipeliners Association of Houston.
 
 
Bob Sprick Bob Sprick
Senior Vice President - Gulf Interstate Field Services
Bob Sprick, Senior Vice President of Gulf Interstate Field Services, possesses more than 30 dedicated years of experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry, 20 of which have been spent at Gulf. Bob's extensive career at Gulf has included a variety of positions from Engineer, to Project Manager to Vice President of Business Development to his current position as Vice President of Gulf Interstate Field Services. Bob provides professional experience and guidance to Gulf's Field Services team and is directly responsible for the operations and general management of this wholly owned subsidiary. He possesses a diverse and accomplished background in project management, marketing, planning, design, construction and in the operations of oil and gas pipelines and station facilities. This wide ranging industry experience is crucial to understanding client needs and expectations. Bob is an active member of PLCA, INGAA and the Pipeliners Association of Houston.

Vice President - Operations
Bill Olson has over 35 years’ experience delivering engineering, procurement and construction management services to the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry, including gathering, separation and processing systems, EOR systems (gas lift/ injection, water flood and CO2 miscible flood), pipeline (onshore/offshore) transportation systems, terminal storage, offshore loading systems. A significant portion of his overall experience involved international project development and execution, particularly in remote, “greenfield” areas requiring development of the infrastructure necessary to construct and operate these facilities. He has successfully developed integrated project management teams to execute high-risk, “fast track” projects, especially for international projects. His project management experience extends to more than twenty countries, including Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Yemen, Chad, UAE, Cameroon, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, China, Indonesia, Russia, Mexico and Canada.

Chief Financial Officer
With over twenty years of experience, Karey Cox has successfully filled the role of Controller for Gulf Interstate Engineering before being named to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Karey joined Gulf in 2011 and has been responsible for leading Gulf’s accounting organization, including financial reporting, treasury, tax and compliance. Prior to joining the Gulf family, Karey was Group Controller at Southwest Water Company. Along with corporate experience in the energy, automotive, water and wastewater industries, Karey brings public accounting experience from her time spent at Ernst & Young, LLP.  With her wide range of knowledge and experience in Finance and Accounting functions across the organization, Karey guides a team unit focused on providing effective support and counsel in Financial Reporting, Accounting Research, Tax, Treasury, and Risk Management.
 
Art Dubose Art Dubose
Vice President - Human Resources and Corporate Services
Art Dubose has demonstrated success in leading the growth of Human Resources and Corporate Services for the last four years at Gulf Interstate Engineering.The breadth of the nearly three decades of experience he brings to Gulf Interstate is of considerable value added to the team. He developed much of his expertise as the former Vice President of Human Resources for Air Liquide, Vice President of Human Resources for Veolia Environmental Services and Senior Director of Human Resources for Curtiss-Wright International. At Gulf, Art brings innovative and decisive decision making by contributing high quality leadership guidance and strategic workforce planning. Art’s role is instrumental in driving further success of our business by extending the benefits of his experience, leadership and strategic vision.
